Meet Barbara

Hello, I’m Barbara, and I have been a teacher of English language for over ten years.  I am a fully certified Cambridge English teacher and my lessons always provide high quality.  I come from Great Britain, but I have also lived and taught overseas in several different countries, including Italy, France, Belgium and The Netherlands.  I love to prepare my lessons to suit my individual students, so that you can get the most out of your classes, which I am sure that you will find useful.  It is also important to enjoy learning, and I know that you will have fun in our creative and interesting groups, meeting new people and talking English together!

I teach students of all ages and levels, from complete beginner to near-native speakers.  I also teach children’s classes and I have been running kids activity and music groups to help with language learning for many years.  I recently started a series of videos for Au Pairs with ideas for kids activities, which I hope you will enjoy watching and that you will find some great ideas to share with your host family.  I am looking forward to meeting you soon in class!

Meet Kim

Hoi, ik ben Kim! Maybe you already know me from “Learn Dutch with Kim”, and if not, you can check out my YouTube channel and learn Dutch with me! The aim of my videos is to make learning Dutch easy and fun. I make “regular” grammar classes, videos about culture, Dutch peculiarities and vlogs. I also like to shoot videos outside of my daily life.

Aside from that, I am making online materials that you may use to self-study. These materials complement my videos. I have been a Dutch teacher for over 4 years now; I taught group classes, private classes, and conversational language classes. Before this, I have studied Dutch language and literature in Leiden, Amsterdam, and Berlin. After graduating, I started my Ph.D. in Dutch computational linguistics/literature. Besides that, I love to travel a lot, and my dream is to go to Latin America for some time.
